Sami is a creative director, filmmaker, photographer and curator based between Cornwall and London. Decidedly against being ‘one thing’, Sami’s work aims to capture and create moments of appreciation for the world around us and the communities who inhabit it; using a variety of mediums, she hopes to evoke compassion and create oppertunities for understanding through storytelling which uplifts us all.

In 2019 she co-founded collective and platform BAESIANZ  alongside Sarah Khan and Roxanne Farahmand, which celebrates artists of Asian heritage from across the globe. In 2022 Baesianz teamed up with Nicole Chui to start Baesianz FC, a womens, trans and non-binary football team for those of Asian heritage in London, and finally, in 2023 Baesianz Adventure Club was born; a space where the Baesianz community are invited to explore the outdoors through adventure.

Sami’s work as a Creative Director focuses on storytelling, campaigns, events and editorial projects through concept, writing and art direction; specialising in culture, music, arts, sports and fashion. Selected clients include WaterBear, Hypebeast, DICE, Burberry, Nike, VICE, Netflix, Channel 4, Google, PlayStation, i-D, Island Records, Noisey, Napapijri, adidas, anyways, We Are Pi, LOOK, Livity.

Having worked as a creative and narrative director for many branded film and documentary projects through-out her creative direction career, in 2023 Sami began directing her own films including a five-part series for WaterBear and is keen to explore this more.
