Waterbear and NGO, BeNode, paried up to explore stories of connections and networks in a five-part series; developed and co-directed by me, the series captures the stories of collectives, individuals and technology which is breaking the conventions and restrictions of connection, forging communities and networks their own way.
On Febuary 6th 2023, Turkey was struck by two major earthquakes effecting millions. With government resources stretched, communities formed digital social networks to help the victims. In "One More Breath / Earthquake," we observe how efforts led by activist Lal Denizli and actress Berguzar Korel, harnessed the dynamism of their social media web to deliver aid during the crisis.
